ARIZONA SNOWBOWL

Arizona Snowbowl is located on the western slope of Mount Humphreys on the majestic San Francisco Peaks, 12 miles outside of Flagstaff. Arizona Snowbowl opened in 1938 and is one of the oldest continually run ski areas in the United States. The ski area has State-of-the-art snowmaking to help guarantee a season from mid-November through mid-April to enjoy 777 acres, eight lifts and great amenities. After hitting the slopes or simply enjoying a stellar sunset on the scenic chair lift, refuel at the lodge with a variety of beverages and cozy comfort food to choose from.

ARIZONA NORDIC VILLAGE

Nestled in a snow-pocket of the San Francisco Peaks at an average elevation of 8,300 feet, the Arizona Nordic Village (ANV) is the premier cross-country ski location in Arizona. Located in the foothills of Arizona’s tallest mountain range, you can ski and play in the quaking aspens and pine trees of the Coconino National Forest all the while enjoying the magnificent scenery Northern Arizona has to offer. These ski trails are approximately 16-feet wide with classic track set when possible as well as a beautiful corduroy skate lane. With over 40km of trails, the Arizona Nordic Village has endless adventures to offer! Multi-Use/Snowshoe trails are open to all users, give it a try! Feel free to bring your dogs as well. These multi-use trails are fun for everyone!

FLAGSTAFF SNOW PARK

At 7,000 feet above sea level, and with an average annual snow fall of over 100 inches, Flagstaff is one of the snowiest cities in the United States. Flagstaff Snow Park is dedicated to providing exceptional snow play opportunities for all. Let's play! From groomed tubing runs to a designated kiddie hill, as well as passive snow play opportunities, there is something for everyone. Build a snowman, or relax and watch the action, it's entirely up to you. With a variety of great food and drink choices you will want to stay awhile. Warm up around one of the outdoor fireplaces and roast a marshmallow to top off your winter adventure.

Downtown Flagstaff Visitor Center 

Stop by the Historic Flagstaff Visitor Center in historic downtown adorned in tens of thousands of sparkling lights, lamp posts decked with wreaths, and a retired steam engine providing a beautiful glistening backdrop for must-have holiday photos. This visitor center is located on the iconic Route 66 and is a short walk to a variety of events, activities, restaurants, shopping, historic sites, lodging, and more. It is most definitely worth the stop.

Grand Canyon Village

The snow dusted canyon is quite the site to see. The breathtaking ensemble of colorful rock layers, impressive buttes and shadowed side canyons sets Grand Canyon apart. The South Rim Village is open year-round and features buildings from the early 1900s including the historic El Tovar Hotel, Mary Colter's Lookout Studio and Hopi House, Vercamp's Visitor Center and Kolb Studio. Visiting the Grand Canyon in winter offers slightly more peaceful park days compared to the warmer months. Trails are quieter and scenic drives are less congested during January and February. The cold, crisp air combined with snow atop the red and orange rock formations make for a unique experience.
