4th of July

Recognized by Fodor’s Travel, Flagstaff is a must-do for many things and 4th of July is among the laundry list. Watermelon and hot dog eating contests follow a charming parade riddled with red, white and blue flag-waving lined sidewalks, free symphony concert and a special Lights on the Lawn.

The Sky is the Limit

Flagstaff is the world’s first Dark Sky City and Lowell Observatory’s campus and telescopes serve as a perfect location to see millions and millions of stars as well as find your favorite constellation. After all, this is where Pluto was discovered, too.

By day, a scenic sky ride at Arizona Snowbowl provides breathtaking views from an elevation of 11,500’ and even offers a distant glimpse of the Grand Canyon.

Together with great sponsors and support from the community, American Cancer Society tackles this mountain, rally's every community, and relentlessly continues in the fight against cancer.
