Wednesday Night Blues at Charly's, brought to you by the Northern Arizona Blues Alliance will be closed THIS WEDNESDAY before Thanksgiving and on behalf of Charly's at The Weatherford Hotel, we sincerely wish everyone a Happy and safe Thanksgiving. December 4th opens the lineup with Flagstaff's own Steve (S.E.) Willis on vocals, keys, accordion, and harmonica! Steve brings an extensive background of Blues and New Orleans style music to the show with his consummate showmanship. Whether you are a dancer or listener, or both, Steve always brings high quality entertainment Steve was a longtime bandmate of the Elvin Bishop Band and in 2015 the Band's album received a Blues Music Award for Best Album and Song of the Year, “I Can’t Even Do Wrong Right”. December 11 features features Max Tovstyi guitarist, from PHX by way of the Ukraine! He's been in the States for a little over 2 years now and has racked up hundreds of performances! You'll hear some familiar Hendrix and Stevie Ray from this talented player! Max brings energy and style that will get you on the dance floor and tapping your toes at the table! Before he came to the US, he toured throughout the Ukraine prior to the conflict and fled his country. A quick look at his website will give you a LOT of albums (18 to be exact!) from this relatively young player. You will like what you hear! December 18 brings a wonderful blending of Blues styles, featuring Dennis Herrera and Chicago Bob where you'll get a double dose of Blues! Dennis brings the Texas style blues to the stage with some stylish guitar licks while Chicago Bob will be bringing you harmonica vibes reminiscent of the Chicago Blues scene back in the day. The Dennis Herrera Band won the NAZBA Best Produced CD Award for 2024-25 and his recording is on it's way to compete in Memphis later in 2025! Charly's at the Weatherford Hotel features some of the best Blues talent in Arizona, featuring a rotating group of Arizona Blues artists from as far away as Tucson to as close as Flagstaff. and is commended for their commitment to live Blues music! Their staff is excellent, with outstanding food selections to go along with your favorite beverage.
